1. What is an English Goldendoodle?

Ah, yes, you are just like me! I love to skip to the FAQ without checking every page of the website first. An Englishdoodle is a hybrid crossbreed goldendoodle where a poodle has been bred to an English Retriever. Please refer to the page "What is an English Goldendoodle?" for a very thorough explanation about why we have chosen English lines.

2. How much are your puppies?

2023 F1b Englishdoodles are $1800.

3. Do you offer breeding rights?

All puppies are sold as PET ONLY with a strict spay/neuter agreement. No exceptions.

4. Do you potty train puppies?

All puppies will be litter trained in our home. They will already have a clear understanding that potty occurs in a certain place. For litters who are able to go outside (not winter litters) we will begin familiarizing them with lots of praise and love when they potty outside. We will do everything we can to set them up for success once they join you in their home. That said, an 8-week old puppy cannot be fully potty trained- it would be like potty training a 1-year-old human- not appropriate for 99% of them. Your vigilance in the first several weeks at home will be imperative in finishing the potty training process.

5. Do you crate train puppies?

Our puppies will be age-appropriately crate trained in our home. We will transition to crates, first in small groups and eventually alone. They will not be fully crate trained when they are ready to come home, but they will be familiar with the crate experience.

6. What is included in the 2-year health guarantee?

Our health guarantee protects against life-inhibiting genetic defects. If you would like to review our health guarantee please message us here and request a copy.

7. If I decide to adopt a englishdoodle puppy from Sugardoodles by Smith, how often will I get updates and photos of my puppy?

We will commit to taking 2 sets of planned photographs of each litter. The first at a few days old and the second around 6 weeks of age. We email our families approximately weekly during the first 8 weeks of life with "pupdates" and general information that is important for new dog owners. We will post daily on our Facebook page with random puppy cuteness so that families can watch the litter grow.

8. I looked at your photos and I know which puppy I want, can I put my deposit down on that puppy today?

In short, no. Our program focuses on honoring the puppy and the puppy's new family. As such, we do not allow customers to select based soley on a photo. We believe that matching the temperament and personality of a puppy with the right family is infinitely more important than how a puppy looks.

Of course we understand that you have fallen in love with a certain look of a puppy, but we will not allow you to commit to any puppy before we talk about the traits this puppy possesses and ensure you are a good match.

9. What type of payment do you accept?

Deposits will be accepted as cash, cashier's check, or Venmo.

For final payment, WE PREFER CASH AT PICK UP but will accept Venmo, personal check, cashier's check, or Wal-Mart money order 10 days PRIOR to Go Home Day. We do not currently accept electronic payments as final payments.
